袋鼠盃以推廣舞蹈美育,達到習舞4E(表達、教育、鼓勵及享受)的目標,香港舞蹈總會於2006 年開始,每年舉辦「袋鼠盃舞蹈比賽」,架設表演平台和獎項,提昇學員的表演能力和水平,藉以發掘更多明日之星。比賽以澳洲聯邦舞蹈教師協會(CSTD)的芭蕾舞、爵士舞、現代舞及踢踏舞...等課程為藍本,參賽者在課程學習的基礎下編創出獨特的個人風格。賽事以年齡劃分,設多元的舞蹈類別,分組作賽。本年參賽者須於 2023 年度參與由香港舞蹈總會管理的 CSTD 課程考試
