故事大綱：
一名得獎導演跌入事業谷底後，孤身一人踏上公路之旅。由沖繩到北海道，跑遍各地的小眾戲院，拜託他們放映自己的新戲。但疫情令他吃盡閉門羹，究竟最後他能否東山再起？濱口龍介表示「這是一套會令人莫名地想一直看下去的電影」，戲中處處流露對電影的熱愛，宛如一部日本獨立戲院圖鑑。
