在未來世界，潛夢技術是刑 偵主要手段之一。潛夢者利用特殊機器，分裂不同人格碎片，與目標人物進行夢境交融，藉此獲得真相。
潛夢者 Adam 為了調查一宗酒吧兇殺案進行潛夢，卻意外愛上疑兇的人格。他漸漸迷失在疑幻疑真的夢魘中，最終只能在愛與性命中作抉擇。這時他才發現，夢境鎖住的，是深淵...
