從初一早上的請神巡遊，一連三日東頭村盂蘭勝會正式展開。晚上7時許，善信陸續進場參拜、附薦、捐款做功德。場內的香火，伴隨著經師棚內誦經和潮樂聲，還有不少街坊為了看潮劇神功戲而來。更樂見一些青年人相輔參與活動。
