Immerse yourself in the mountains, listen to the story of ‘Little Fish’, appreciate the beauty of sound and rhythm, and feel the joy of being present. This journey combines the “Little Fish” story, written by the Chairman of Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden, Andrew McAulay, with the musical arrangement of singing bowl facilitators from Apllpamama. Arriving at the peak of Kwun Yum Shan at sunset, bask in the wonder of a singing bowl performance and bathe your heart in nature.
Participants will walk from the lower area of KFBG (altitude: 180 metres) up to the summit of Kwun Yum Shan (altitude: 552 metres). It will take about 90 minutes of slow walking to arrive at the summit. As there is some mild exertion involved with walking uphill, this workshop is probably not suitable for people who have heart problems, high blood pressure or knee problems. Also, all participants are requested to respect other participants by maintaining silence throughout the journey.
Facilitators
Allpamama
Inspired by Peru in 2010, Tsang Man Tung founded Allpamama upon his return to Hong Kong. With art, music, life, and meditation as its four core pillars, he launches workshops to help people regain a balanced state of health. Allpamama collaborates with local and international partners to share the practice of meditation, including organisations such as Dharma Drum Mountain Hong Kong Centre, Kadoorie Farm & Botanic Garden, International Bodhisattva Sangha (Taiwan), and more. Over time, Allpamama has developed various art projects to present mindfulness in an aesthetic manner, integrating it into our daily lives. These projects encompass the Meditative Theatre series, Samana, the Bless This Land 2021 online exhibition, the film theatre The Light of Metempsychosis, and Sounditation (since 2022).
Note: Allpamama originated from pre-Inca culture's language Quechua, meaning the ‘Mother Earth’.
