To celebrate Art March Hong Kong, M+ will offer free admission on General Admission exhibitions on Sunday, 9 March 2025. Visitors can enjoy free access to exciting shows like M+ Sigg Collection: Another Story and Shanshui: Echoes and Signals without pre-registration.  

The museum will be open from 10:00 to 18:00 that day, with the last admission at 16:00 to ensure visitors have sufficient time to explore the museum.  

Tickets for the Special Exhibition Guo Pei: Fashioning Imagination will be available for purchase on-site. 

Free General Admission Exhibition Highlights:  

M+ Sigg Collection: Another Story exhibition takes a visual approach to examine the styles and practices of contemporary Chinese art from the 1990s to the present. This exhibition surveys how artists reconsider their cultural identities and express their uncertain state of being during China's rapid modernisation in the 1990s. 

Explore the process of making at the Making It Matters exhibition. By engaging with artworks by featured artists, this exhibition helps us understand our roles in the processes of making and how these processes are interconnected with our everyday lives.  

Yasumasa Morimura and Cindy Sherman: Masquerades exhibition brings together staged photographs by Yasumasa Morimura and Cindy Sherman, who rethink identity through transforming their appearances. Both of their works offer incisive commentary on contemporary culture and history. 

M+ presents Lee Mingwei: Guernica in Sand, a large-scale installation to be staged in B2, The Studio. Taking Pablo Picasso’s iconic 1937 masterpiece Guernica, painted in response to the violence of the Spanish Civil War, as its departure point, Lee Mingwei recreates this painting in sand.
