南丫南慶祝天后寶誕演戲籌備委員會每年農曆四月十八日都會在索罟灣慶祝天后誕，當天亦會有不少花炮會到天后廟來賀誕。在賀誕當日，花炮會和善信陸續坐船到來賀誕。花炮會把花炮和供品抬到戲棚外放置。花炮會成員先到主會辦事處交付炮金。中午，大部分花炮會在附近的海鮮酒家進餐，並分切燒肉於用膳時享用，部分花炮更於酒家內供奉天后像。之後開始抽花炮儀式，合共抽出14枚花炮。其後，各花炮會到戲棚領取抽到的花炮，接著返回碼頭。
