HKWALLS, Hong Kong's leading non-profit street art organisation, is proud to announce the return of its landmark annual street art festival for its 11th edition, running from 21 to 29 March 2026, right at the beating heart of Hong Kong's world-renowned art month.

From the iconic streets of Central and Western District to the glittering waterfront of Victoria Harbour, HKWALLS 2026 promises its most expansive, multidimensional edition yet. Uniting a stellar roster of 20+ local and international artists from 14 countries, the festival will breathe new life into Hong Kong's urban landscape through large-scale wall murals, truck-mounted mobile art, mesmerising digital projections, live performances, public guided tours, and hands-on workshops.

"It's always been about having fun and working with great artists. Going into number 11, we told ourselves it’s not about quotas, there is no need to overextend ourselves. We want to be really focused on doing stuff that gets us excited and working with artists we love." – Jason Dembski, Co-founder, HKWALLS

EVENT 1: HKWALLS 2026 STREET ART FESTIVAL (featuring Art on the Move)

● 21-29 March 2026 | PMQ Courtyard, 35 Aberdeen Street, Central

https://hkwalls.org/hkwalls-2026/

● Festival Hours:

● 21-24 March and 26-28 March: 12pm-8pm | PMQ

● 25 March: 12pm-6pm | PMQ

● 29 March: 12pm-9pm | Chater Road, Central (Pedestrianised Zone, see Event 5)

For nine exhilarating days, HKWALLS transforms the Central and Western District into an open-air gallery, with acclaimed international and local artists creating breathtaking murals in real time, with the entire creative process unfolding in public, open to every passerby.

This year's wall mural artists include Fabio Petani (Italy), who weaves Euclidean geometry and botanical motifs into cohesive large-scale murals, Hardthirteen (Indonesia), who creates dynamic works exploring movement, energy and emotion, blurring the line between street culture and storytelling, will bring his signature style to Hong Kong's walls with an iconic portrait of martial arts legend Bruce Lee; and Hong Kong's own Enoch Wong, who brings a signature blend of meticulous realism and vivid imagination to the city's walls.

Adding a further dimension to the festival, Irish artist Asbestos, supported by the Consulate General of Ireland, Hong Kong, will stage an immersive performance piece throughout the festival week. His three-metre roving character BORN, draped in hand-stitched fabric signs, will appear at unexpected locations across the city, inviting the public to interact with his performative ritual.

This year, the cultural exchange is made possible once again by the EUNIC Cluster, the EU Office in Hong Kong and other European Consulates for artists from Europe.

“We are pleased to again support a Czech digital artist, Ondřej Rakušan, whose work blends Czech animation with contemporary digital creativity. It’s inspiring to see the dialogue between local, European, and international artists fostered through the festival. Their efforts strengthen EU-Hong Kong artistic collaboration and make art more accessible on the streets and along the harbourfront.” – Klára Jurčová, Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Hong Kong

INTRODUCING: ART ON THE MOVE

This year, HKWALLS makes its most audacious leap yet, taking art off the walls and onto the road. In an exciting new partnership with GoGoX, six international and local artists, Leho (Taiwan), Mooncasket (Hong Kong), Saïd Kinos (Netherlands), Yubia (Spain), TAXA (Japan/Hong Kong-based), and Awie (Canada), will transform GoGoX trucks into rolling masterpieces. Beyond the exterior murals, visitors are invited to step inside the trucks to explore curated exhibitions and interactive installations. From the outside visuals to the immersive interior setups, these trucks offer a complete 360-degree vision of the artists' creative worlds as they carry original art across the city.

"This GoGoX collaboration reflects our deep connection to the Hong Kong community. When people encounter these trucks on the street, we hope it is not only a beautiful design, that they also feel the pulse of the logistics industry and the human element that keeps our city moving." – Ming Tse, Platform Director, GoGoX

WORKSHOPS

The festival hub at PMQ will host a programme of hands-on workshops throughout the nine days. On Sunday 22 March and Saturday 28 March, artist Olgierd Nitka leads immersive workshops for participants to explore his creative practice. Daily at PMQ, visitors are invited to step inside the Art on the Move trucks and join Mooncasket's colouring workshop, and GoGoX will also host free, family-friendly drop-in workshops where visitors can create papercraft miniature trucks and decorate them with their own designs.
