展覽以四時為題，透過故宮博物院近200件珍貴文物，展示清代君主如何順天應時，根據四時節氣從事各項活動，呈現豐富多彩的宮廷生活和文化，並邀請觀眾體驗春、夏、秋、冬四季的宮廷生活，涵蓋農耕、外交、宗教、狩獵及節令儀典等。
