Jean-Pierre Armengaud 出生於1943年，五歲學音樂，1965年於巴黎音樂師範學院畢業，主修鋼琴演奏。Armengaud自言很榮幸受先師Pierre Sancan，Jacques Février與Stanislas Neuhaus的教導發，才有今天的成就。 他在法國出席過無數電臺和電視節目，除了演奏鋼琴外，有時更擔任監製。他又經常在香榭麗舍劇院與法國廣播愛樂樂團合作。他到世界各地巡迴演出，並得到國際音樂界的高度認可。 Armengaud對法國鋼琴曲目的完美詮釋，令他名聲遠揚；尤其是演繹薩蒂(Satie)與浦朗克( Poulenc)的鋼琴曲全集錄音，更獲得多項大獎。 身為一位全方位發展的音樂人，他曾在許多高等院校和大學任教大師班，並撰有法國和俄羅斯音樂論著。 Born in 1943, Jean-Pierre Armengaud began studying music at the age of five, and graduated as a concert pianist from the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris in 1965. Armengaud proudly credits his success to the influence and guidance provided by his former teachers, Pierre Sancan, Jacques Février and Stanislas Neuhaus. He has appeared on numerous radio and television shows in France, both as a pianist and sometimes as a producer, and frequently plays with French Radio Orchestras and at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysees. Armengaud has achieved international recognition through extensive touring world-wide. His notoriety stems also from his highly respected interpretations of French repertoire, especially his recordings of the complete piano works of Erik Satie and Poulenc, which have been honoured with numerous awards.
