2012年1月1日晚上八時正，香港將首次透過人造衛星，以全高清技術轉播德國世界頂級「德累斯頓除夕音樂會2011」到本港多家戲院上映，讓香港樂迷即時欣賞頂級音樂會迎接新年。 這次音樂會是在德國史上最悠久歌劇院塞帕歌劇院演出，被譽為卡拉揚音樂精神繼承者的克里斯蒂安•蒂勒曼 (Christian Thielemann) 帶領德累斯頓國家管弦樂團 (Staatskapelle Dresden)、著名女高音 安格拉•德諾克 (Angela Denoke)、男高音皮奧特•貝扎拉 (Piotr Beczala) 和新進女高音安娜•瑪麗亞•拉賓等，演繹精采樂曲及著名歌劇《風流寡婦》作曲家弗朗茲•雷哈爾的歌劇，以美妙歌聲和輕快音符迎接新年第一天。 For the first time ever in HK, a world class classical music concert transmitted in HD via satellite from Semperoper Dresden, Germany, to HK at 8:00 pm on 1st January 2012, and transmitted to selected cinemas for screening.
