Here and There: Dialogue between Hong Kong and Japan
Here and There: Dialogue between Hong Kong and Japan is the end-project exhibition of the Knowledge Transfer Partnership Project “V.AI” co-organised by Academy of Visual Arts and Knowledge Transfer Office of Hong Kong Baptist University, as well as K11 Art Mall. “Here and There” is originated from the Japanese phase 遠近 referring to perspectives, while it also carries the literal meaning of being “far and near” in both Chinese and Japanese.
Students from Academy of Visual Arts of Hong Kong Baptist University, ELCHK Yuen Long Lutheran Secondary School, Precious Blood Secondary School, Lok Sin Tong Wong Chung King Secondary School, Yan Chai Hospital No.2 Secondary School, SKH All Saints' Middle School explore the theme “distance” so as to overcome the geographic, language and cultural differences between Hong Kong and Japan, and to show support and care to victims who suffered in the Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami in 2011.
