Paean Productions proudly presents The Loneliest Whale, the company’s first major performance in Hong Kong, supported by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, The Hong Kong Arts Development, and The Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre. The play is an original piece of devised theatre written and directed by Victoria Allington. Using elements of physical theatre and folk song, ‘The Loneliest Whale’ explores the themes of human connections and how social media affects us. Victoria comments “In many ways it can be invaluable in helping us stay in touch, yet often the technology geared towards connecting us leaves us feeling more disconnected and isolated. By exploring both sides, ‘The Loneliest Whale’ aims to get the audience thinking about the role technology plays in their lives.”
