Introduction to the programme:
Music From Outer Space is presented and performed by NOMOI percussion duo: Sascia Pellegrini (composer/percussion) and Tim Chan (percussion). The project aims to investigate the work of composers whose trajectories and choices deal with graphical and proportional notation and who, in many regards, were figures out of their time. (So, somehow, from Outer Space.) Stockhausen, Cardew and Cage are the main subjects of this concert, composers with very different approaches to notation, musical outcomes and aesthetics. A must-listen in the new music repertoire. The concert is a duet for multi percussion and percussion keyboards. The performance will be proceeded by a 40min introduction to the pieces in English.
