Look Up: A Vertical Introspection will feature Reggie’s collaboration with MarblePrintClay. The artworks will be produced in the MPC studio during their first artist residency. The exhibition reception as well as the artist talk about this project will take place on Friday, November 9th, 2018 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm at MPC Studio, Hong Kong. Reggie’s first series of MPC artworks were inspired his love for the cityscape and vertical skylines of Hong Kong. During his recent travels to Hong Kong, Reggie spent most of his time exploring and capturing images that would later influence his multimedia practice for this collection. His collaboration with MPC will contain juxtaposing compositions of imagery and original hand type artistry. To visually execute the narrative of this collection Reggie Black + MarblePrintClay will explore multiple printmaking mediums such as woodcuts, lithographs, and etchings to create textures, surfaces, and tones that resemble the cultural cityscape of Hong Kong.
