Update 13/7/2020: ROTTEN HEAD FESTIVAL POSTPONED UNTIL APRIL 2021 Due to the recent rise in cases of COVID-19 in Hong Kong, we have taken the decision to move Rotten Head Festival to 16, 17 & 18 April 2021. Thank you to those who have already bought a ticket. Those tickets will still be valid for the days you have booked and will roll-over to the new dates. For example a Friday ticket is valid for the Friday in April, All-Weekend Pass will be good for the whole weekend in April. All the current acts and entertainers are still keen to play the new dates, and the extra time will give us a chance to make the event even more amazing. We hope you understand the situation is out of our control and we will always put the health of the audience, performers and stuff at the forefront. Should you not be able to make those dates, you may claim a refund through the ticketing agent with which you purchased the ticket. Not perturbed by the world and local events, Alan Chung and Andrew Spires are braving it and launching an exciting festival with a world-class backdrop. Rotten Head Festival held at AIA Vitality Park at the Hong Kong Observation Wheel will run for three days in September - Friday 18th from 5pm - 10pm, Saturday 19 all day from 11am-10pm then a kid-focused Sunday Funday on the 20th from 11-6pm. With over 20 live music acts, delicious food, artisanal craft beer from four top Hong Kong breweries, the HandMade Hong kong Market, Rotten Head Festival aims to be a celebration and showcase of all things Hong Kong. 'We started with a spark of an idea about creating an event that everyone can enjoy, and now we're so proud of what we've achieved. It's been a long road, with lots of interesting challenges thrown at us, but we persevered and now can't wait for the party'. Said Andrew, co-founder. Rotten Head Festival is named after Lantau Peak - Lan Tao literally translates as broken or rotten head and aims to rejuvenate a tired city in a weekend of fun where everyone can come together to experience the best talent from Hong Kong and beyond. Each day has been curated to have a distinctive feel. Come on Friday for a sing and dance with a classic rock and pop extravaganza and be blown away by the weird and wonderful Crimes Against Pop as they get you congaing around the festival site led by Paul and Carolyn from RTHK Radio 3's The Pop Fugitives. Saturday is a whole day of live music and fun, kicking off with a giant mindfulness and yoga class under the shadow of Hong Kong's famous skyline. Bring your yoga mat and centre yourself, before revitalising tired muscles and minds with gourmet food from your favourite restaurants. Wash that all down with an ice-cold drink and while away the afternoon listening to an array of top bands including smooth 2 tone from The Red Stripes, A high-energy DJ set from the powerful Uptown Rockers and be blown away by our headline act ARICLAN; led by Ari Calangi on vocals. Sunday is kid Funday. We have heaps to keep the little (and big) ones amused whilst you take in some delicious beer and an impressive musical line up. A treasure hunt, The Handmade Hong Kong market, a magical carousel (extra fee), RugbyTots rugby session and Dr Abra the wizard of Lantau - all set to make this a wonderful day in Hong Kong that you won't forget.
