BLINKs… Are you ready to have fun together? BLACKPINK will bring to Macao their BLACKPINK 2019 WORLD TOUR with KIA [IN YOUR AREA] MACAO on Saturday, 8 June 2019 at Cotai Arena, The Venetian Macao. This tour kicked off in Seoul with two sold-out concerts at Olympic Gymnastics Stadium on 10-11 November 2018 that continued to other cities from January 2019. BLACKPINK successfully finished their “IN YOUR AREA” World Tour with KIA in Asia, was the first K-pop group to perform at Coachella 2019 and is now continuing their first tour in North America which will be followed by the Europe & Australia tour with stopover here in Macao in between their Europe and Australia dates! BLACKPINK is a South Korean girl group formed by YG Entertainment consisting of members JISOO, JENNIE, ROSÉ and LISA. They debuted with single album ‘SQUARE ONE’, which was released on 8 August 2016 with double lead singles, ‘Whistle’ and ‘Boombayah’. The two title tracks charted at number one and two on the Billboard World Digital Songs chart and BLACKPINK is the fastest act to do so. Following their successful debut, the quartet then released their second single album ‘SQUARE TWO’ with the lead singles ‘Playing with Fire’ and ‘Stay’ on 1 November 2016. ‘Playing with Fire’ was their second single to hit number one on the Billboard World Digital Songs chart. With their achievements, Billboard named them one of the best new K-pop groups of 2016. Continued with their single ‘As If It’s Your Last’ which was released in 2017, it gave them the title of the fastest girl group to reach 400 million views on YouTube. Besides, BLACKPINK broke their own record with the first EP ‘SQUARE UP’ released in 2018. The single ‘Ddu-Du Ddu-Du’ from the EP charted No. 55 on the Billboard Hot 100. BLACKPINK also collaborated with Dua Lipa for ‘Kiss and Make Up’, which is a bilingual song in Korean and English. This song debuted at No.93 on Billboard Hot 100. The group now have the record for the highest-charting hit ever by a K-Pop girl group and also score multiple entries on the chart as K-Pop girl group. The title track ‘Kill This Love’ from their latest EP ‘KILL THIS LOVE’ released on 5 April 2019, is a record-breaking track, which charted No. 1 on iTunes Song Chart in 37 countries including US. BLACKPINK is the first Korean girl group to reach No. 1 in US iTunes Song Chart. The single also charted on No. 41 in Billboard Hot 100, and the EP charted on Billboard 200 with No. 24.
