繪畫，一直具有刻畫形象的神奇力量，能吸引觀眾而不會成為過時的表現形式；繪畫，自成天地。 是次《法國．異象 - 法國當代繪畫展》共邀請八位法國著名藝術家參展，包括羅南．巴羅、法蘭克．沙朗達、尚皮翁．梅塔迪耶、馬克．帝格朗尚、菲利普．科涅、茜爾維．法伊弗勞斯卡、奧利維．馬斯蒙泰和達邁爾．塔塔。參展的八位藝術家都曾在法國及國外辦過展覽，這次是他們首次應邀來澳展出。 八位藝術家主要採取具象、抽象或隱約介於兩者之間的表現形式，以創意出眾的藝術作品，表現其非凡的藝術才華和藝術熱誠。 通過新舊交錯、傳統與現代並存的創造性技巧，繪畫得以從過去對主題、載體或空間的束縛中解放出來，探索新模式，擴展新領域。繪畫是一種思考及觀察的方式，是用新的眼光來看這世界。他們以畫家自命，憑其出色探索，為當代藝術作出重大貢獻。 繪畫一幅幅掛在那兒，給人觀看，始終靜止不動，屹立不倒；不像其他媒體，繪畫是我們生活的穩重支柱、為我們製造特殊的欣賞時刻。當今世界，相繼而來的影像無情閃過，繪畫更是不可或缺。 Painting has always had the magical ability to portray images and to attract an audience without ever being an outdated form of representation; it is a world of its own. “A Glimpse at French Contemporary Painting” presents eight French artists who’s paintings have made a significant contribution to contemporary art; Ronan Barrot, Franck Chalendard, Champion Métadier, Marc Desgrandchamps, Philippe Cognée, Sylvie Fajfrowska, Olivier Masmonteil and Djamel Tatah. Already featured in solo or group exhibitions in France and abroad, this is the first time their work will be displayed in Macao. Through impressive and creative art works, the exhibition highlights these outstanding and promising artists, each selected for being highly dedicated to painting works that are either figurative or abstract, or somewhere enigmatically in between. Simultaneously old and new, traditional and modern, painting is a truly inventive technique that is free from many former constraints regarding the subject, support or space. Presently exploring new modalities and broadening its scope, painting is a way of thinking, of looking at things and seeing the world anew. Declaring themselves as painters, these artists brilliantly demonstrate that this form of art is doing amazingly well. There to be seen, paintings remain strong and still; unlike other mediums, it is a fixed presence in our lives, a privileged moment and a necessity in today’s world where images relentlessly flash by one after another.
